Kadarius Toney hopes to make an immediate impact.
New York Giants’ first round pick, wide receiver Kadarius Tony wasn’t in attendance during the previous two weeks of voluntary OTA’s. This made some sense since he wasn’t yet under contract until late last week, but we don’t know the exact reason.
But now it looks like Toney will be at this week’s mandatory mini camp, according to Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News. The Giants’ mini camp starts on Tuesday and ends on Thursday.
Other players that are expected to attend that skipped OTA’s are the Giants’ starters in the secondary that include James Bradberry, Logan Ryan, Jabrill Peppers, Xavier McKinney and Adoree Jackson as well as other veteran back-ups.
Now if any players skip this week’s mandatory mini camp they can be fined as follows, acoording to the NFLPA:
- Max fine of $15,515 for the first missed day
- $31,030 for the second missed day
- $46,540 for the third missed day
- Up to $93,085 for missing all three days
It’s safe to say that all 90 players on the Giants roster will show up this week, unless they don’t care about being fined.
Once this week’s mini camp concludes, there won’t be any football activity for six weeks. Then of course training camp kicks off on July 27th.
