Will Darius Slayton keep his starting spot?
New York Giants’ wide receiver Darius Slayton will likely have a lesser role in 2021 with the additions of Kenny Golladay, John Ross and Kadarius Toney.
While talking to the media on Thursday, Slayton was asked if he feels like he’s being pushed aside.
“No, not really. I wouldn’t really worry about it,” Slayton said, via Big Blue View. “I try to go out and be the best I can be and I’m excited for what this team has in store.
“I’m excited about all the guys; KT (Kadarius Toney), and John Ross, and KG (Kenny Golladay). I’m excited about all the guys. I think you just think the more the merrier should be the mindset.”
I think the competition will be good for Slayton who has automatically been the Giants’ number two receiver since coming into the NFL and having a strong rookie season.
The number two receiver spot will be up for grabs and Slayton will have to fend off both Ross and Toney. This coming preseason will be interesting. I got a feeling Slayton will hold off the competition.
