Kenny Golladay ready to prove himself
New York Giants’ wide receiver Kenny Golladay mentioned this week how he loves the energy that surrounds this team.
Golladay was also asked about proving himself after receiving a big payday due to the fact that he was signed to be their clear-cut number one receiver.
“100 percent. This is just a new chapter in my life right now. I definitely feel like I have to go out there and prove to other people including myself, it’s different for me. I got drafted to Detroit. Played all four years there. This is a whole different environment right now. So I’m just ready to accept the challenge and just ready to go to work,” Golladay told reporters on Tuesday.
Golladay also said that he doesn’t feel any added player after cashing in as a free agent.
“To be honest, [being a No. 1] really doesn’t [add any pressure]. I’m confident in my game. I’m confident in my work ethic and I know Coach Judge is going to be on me. I hope JG (Offensive Coordinator Jason Garrett) will be on me as well,” Golladay said. “I’m the type of person I never want to be content and I don’t ever want to let myself get like that and I’m going to work and make sure that I leave everything out there.”
I would imagine that Golladay is determined to prove that the Giants didn’t overpay for him like so many people believe is the case. He now needs go stay healthy and take over games the way Plaxico Burress and Odell Beckham Jr. did before him.
