Adoree Jackson should make an instant impact
It was quite a surprise when the Tennessee Titans decided to release cornerback Adoree Jackson this offseason the New York Giants swooped in to sign him to a three-year, $39 million contract.
While talking to the media this week Jackson said that he’s had the mindset of a rookie.
“I came in with the mindset like I’m a rookie all over again,” Jackson said, via Giants Wire. “Just trying to come prove myself, just trying to get respect from my peers – obviously I played with some, some time had changed, things had changed and everything’s different when you go place to place. So I’m just trying to prove myself and show these guys that I’m willing to learn and play for the team and do everything to the best of my ability.”
Jackson joined the rest of the Giants’ veteran defensive backs down in Florida for some offseason workouts. He said that the trip from California was a bit much and they need to come out west for the next one.
“I’m on the West Coast, [so] I told them to come out to the West Coast,” Jackson said. “That flight from L.A. down to Tampa was too far for me so if I can get them to come out that way, that would be perfect so we can go hang out. That’s for sure a thing we are going to talk about and discuss and see what everybody’s up to.”
Even though many people bashed the Giants for signing Jackson, if he can stay healthy and play at the high level that he’s capable of, the move will be a home run.
