Adoree Jackson is a well rounded player
The New York Giants were able to fill one of their needs this offseason thanks to the Tennessee Titans releasing cornerback Adoree Jackson. This of course allowed them to swoop in and sign him to a three-year deal that will solidify their number two cornerback spot opposite of James Bradberry.
While talking to the media this past week you can tell that Jackson is one of those NFL players that appreciates being able to play the game he loves and appreciates now being a part of the Giants’ organization.
“Alive, I feel great,” Jackson said. “To be honest it’s a blessing to be out here playing ball with the guys and see your teammates and see smiles and compete and to learn from each other. I talk to my mom, I talk to my old lady and they ask me how I’m doing, and I tell everybody I feel like — it’s a blessing to be here and be able to play. So no matter what is going on, if it’s hot, cold, whatever it may be, just happy.”
It has to be a horrible feeling when a team releases you because it’s just like getting fired from a job. You can feel abandoned, but of course the Giants didn’t waste time in recruiting Jackson and ultimately signing him. He seems to be very grateful to have a team to play for because NFL careers don’t last very long.
The addition of Jackson could help the Giants bolster one of the best defenses in the NFL this coming season.
