Jason Pierre-Paul has lived up to being a first round pick
Michael Renner of Pro Football Focus has written an article where he picked the best first round pick for every draft slot since 2006.
One former New York Giants’ player made the list and it’s defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul who’s listed as the best no. 15 overall pick since 2016.
Pierre-Paul has always been a volume rusher. In his 11-year NFL career, he’s averaged nearly 50 pressures a season while playing over 900 snaps in five of those years.
I kind of wish the Giants had kept JPP, but he likely needed a change of scenery because he’s been great for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and just won his second career Super Bowl this past season after winning a Super Bowl in 2011 with the Giants.
I got a feeling that Pierre-Paul will continue to play at a high level for the Bucs after recording 9.5 sacks last season.
