James Bradberry should be in for another great season
The New York Giants’ defense, led by one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL in James Bradberry did an amazing job of keeping Big Blue in games last season and even helped them get a huge road win over the Seattle Seahawks as he locked down D.K. Metcalf.
Bradberry was a guest on “Good Morning Football” last week and talked about how guys are still getting used to each other. This makes sense with the new signings like Adoree Jackson, Danny Shelton and others .
“We’re still putting the pieces of the puzzle together because we’re just in OTAs and minicamp,” cornerback James Bradberry said. “We just finished with that. We’re still learning each other, still getting that chemistry down, still learning the defense. I feel like once we get all of that down, we’re going to be pretty good. Like you said, we have talented guys.”
Aside from having great players on defense, this unit for the Giants responds well to being coached by defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and there is no doubt in my mind that they’re headed in the right direction. They’re ready to work and do their part this coming season.
“First and foremost, we’re going to work hard,” said Bradberry. “That’s what Coach Judge talks about every day. We’re going to be gritty, we’re going to work hard, we’re going to be blue collar. That’s where you start. After that, you just have to put the work in and study film. The plays will come after that. That’s where we’re starting at right now. We’re just working hard and grinding.”
If the Giants’ offense can now steady things with quarterback Daniel Jones under center, the Giants will be a playoff team. All we can do right now is wait and see how things turn out. My prediction for this season is nine wins and I don’t see them making the playoffs.
