Is MetLife Stadium a bad NFL stadium?
MetLife Stadium, the home of the New York Giants and Jets is only 11 years old after opening back in 2010, but it’s one of the worst stadiums in the NFL, according to Touchdown Wire. Out of all 30 NFL stadiums (Los Angeles Chargers and Rams share a stadium too) it comes in at number 27.
27. MetLife Stadium
Home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets, the stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is just a taller version of what was previously there. It’s just a millennial update to a cookie cutter stadium from the ’70s.
The only stadiums that are worse in the NFL according to this list is FedEx Field (Washington), Nissan Stadium (Tennessee Titans) and Paul Brown Stadium (Cincinnati Bengals). Even the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium is ahead of MetLife.
While I believe the home of the Giants and Jets isn’t horrible, the design could have been a lot better. I think fans simply hate how bland it is. Especially when looking at the new stadiums that teams like the Chargers, Rams, Falcons and Raiders have built over the past few years.
