Golden Tate has his eyes set on a few teams
It was obvious last season that the New York Giants were phasing out wide receiver Golden Tate from their offense as he saw his time on the field go down. Things got so bad for him that his wife lashed out on Instagram.
With about five weeks until training camps open up, the 32 year-old Tate is still looking for a new team and he might have to wait a while. Given the fact that he will be turning 33 in August, NFL teams will likely rather stick with younger players before they feel the pressure to sign a veteran who can help them right away.
During an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Tate stated that he wouldn’t mind playing for the Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Rams or Indianapolis Colts.
The Titans won’t make sense after they traded for Julio Jones and already have A.J. Brown. I’m also not sure that the Rams would make sense either with all of the weapons they have. The Colts may not be a bad option for Tate.
Tate will likely have to wait for a veteran receiver to go down with an injury in camp before he’ll get a call.
