NFLPA support their players while backing COVID measures
On Tuesday the NFLPA sent out a memo to their players reminding them that no one can force them to get a COVID-1 vaccine.
Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network shared the memo on Twitter. Part of it reads, “No club official, coach or anyone from management should be pressuring you into getting a vaccine and if they are, we need to know.” Check it out below:
Players like Cole Beasley of the Buffalo Bills aren’t happy about the updated COVID-19 protocols that the NFLPA agreed with the NFL to uphold for the upcoming season. If you read through the new protocols, life will be difficult and annoying for non-vaccinated players. So it’s interesting that the NFLPA is encouraging their players to do whatever they want when life won’t be pleasant for them during the season when they will have to get tested every day.
A part of me believes that the NFLPA, like the NFL, believe that the best situation for the players is to get vaccinated. If they didn’t believe that, then they wouldn’t have agreed to the new protocols. But since they are supposed to help support the players they have to protect their freedom of choice in this situation.
