Giants need a veteran guard
One of the biggest question marks for the New York Giants when it comes to their offensive line is at right guard. There’s now a veteran available that they can pick up to sure up that spot.
News came out on Thursday that the Pittsburgh Steelers have releasing veteran guard David DeCastro, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network mentioned on Twitter that DeCastro is weighing his options and evaluating his future as he continues to deal with ankle issues.
The Giants may not be an attractive team for DeCastro given that he is 31 years-old and is likely looking to win a Super Bowl before his career is over. New York will be lucky if they even make the playoffs in 2021.
DeCastro missed three games in 2020, but played all 16 regular season games for the Steelers in 2019. If the Giants could sign him for cheap then it would make sense for them.
