Giants made out great this offseason
The New York Giants have had a heck of an offseason as they added a number one wide receiver in Kenny Golladay along with some other weapons on offense and sured up their defense with the additions of cornerback Adoree Jackson and edge rusher Azeez Ojulari. You can argue that they’ve had one of the best offseasons in the NFL.
Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports has written an article ranking the top-10 NFL teams with the best offseason and the Giants are only an honorable mention.
New York Giants: GM Dave Gettleman actually delivered on his promise to give QB Daniel Jones more play-makers (WR Kenny Golladay was a smart, if expensive, gamble), and his draft-day maneuvering was solid as well. But Jones is still set to start behind an iffy offensive line in a crucial year three. You also can’t rely too much on the health of additions like Kadarius Toney or Adoree’ Jackson.
Benjamin has the best offseason going to the Cleveland Browns. He actually mentioned them signing a washed up Jadeveon Clowney as a positive. Number two is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because they re-signed everyone from their Super Bowl team that was a free agent.
When looking at the list that Benjamin compiled I can see where the Giants could replace a few teams. Not only did the New York load up in free agency, but they also acquired a lot of draft capital for 2022.
