NY Giants’ players preparing for training camp
The New York Giants will kick off training camp on July 27th, which is just over three weeks from now. Until then, it looks like players are working out and training on their own.
Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones is down in North Carolina with some of his teammates.
Jones has done a great job being a leader this offseason after organizing some throwing sessions in Arizona a few of months ago. Wide receiver Sterling Shepard praised Jones this offseason.
“It just shows his leadership skills in getting everybody together and trying to get some of the timing down,” Shepard told the New York Daily News. “That’s important for offense, especially receiver to QB. Good session. We had a great time out there [in Arizona] getting to know each other and bonding with each other, as well. Just shows you [Jones’] maturity level in being able to set something like that up.”
Other Giants’ players like rookie edge rusher Azeez Ojulari and starting tight end Evan Engram are down in Atlanta working out.
It also looks like starting left tackle Andrew Thomas as well as linebacker Tae Crowder are also in Atlanta. Of course, like Ojulari they played at the University of Georgia.
