Saquon Barkley still not revealing much
Everyone wants to know whether or not New York Giants’ star running back Saquon Barkley will be ready for Big Blue’s season opener against the Denver Broncos.
While talking to reporters on Monday, Barkley was asked whether he’ll be ready for week one.
“We’ll see,” he replied.
“Taking it day by day,” Barkley added, via B/R. “Just listening to my body. Whenever I’m able to get out there, just make sure I’m 110%. Not just for … my well-being, but just so I go out there and compete at a high level and show the world who Saquon is.”
I don’t think Barkley truly knows when he’ll play with the Giants reportedly taking a very cautious approach with his surgically repaired ACL.
I also believe that even if Barkley plays in week one that he likely won’t get a full workload. Also if you end up drafting Barkley in fantasy football, I would also try and get Devontae Booker as a handcuff in case Barkley has a hard time staying healthy.
