NY Giants checking out more players
With training camp now underway the New York Giants have been bringing in free agent players for visits.
Big Blue brought in center free agent center Evan Broehm for a visit on Tuesday and they had two more players swing through on Wednesday. They worked out free agent linebacker Todd Davis and had wide receiver Cody Core in for a visit, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
Core was on the Giants roster in 2019 and 2020. He only recorded three receptions for 28 yards during his time in New York in 2019. He didn’t play last season after suffering a torn Achilles.
The 29 year-old Davis started his career with the New Orleans Saints in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State. He then went on to the play for the Denver Broncos from 2014-2019 and played for the Minnesota Vikings last season. He recorded an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 60.6 in 2020.
With Reggie Ragland on the non-football injury list, the Giants could use another linebacker, which is likely why they brought in Davis for a visit.
