Michael Strahan will finally get his number retired
The New York Giants have already announced that they will retire Eli Manning’s number 10 during the upcoming season and that he will be inducted into the Ring of Honor.
“That’ll be a great night,” Giants co-owner John Mara told Steve Serby of The New York Post this week. “He’s such a beloved figure and rightfully so. I think seeing him on the field, seeing the adulation that he’ll get from our fans, it’ll be a great experience.”
Mara also confirmed that Michael Strahan’s number 92 will be retired later in the season as well.
“When we retire [Michael Strahan’s] number later in the year, I think that’ll be a great night as well,” Mara added.
Manning just retired from the Giants after the 2019 season and Strahan has been retired since 2008. I’m surprised New York took so long to retire Strahan’s number when they’re not wasting any time with Manning’s number.
I just wonder why it took so long to retire Strahan’s number.
