Giants bringing back a veteran in Alfred Morris that has plenty to offer
On Thursday the New York Giants released running back Taquan Mizzell after suffering an injury recently. Now it looks like they’ve found his replacement.
Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network is reporting that the Giants will be signing free agent running back Alfred Morris, who of course spent the 2020 season with Big Blue.
Morris carried the ball 55 times for 238 yards and one touchdown with an average of 4.3 yards per carry. He had a really good season for a player that is now 32 years-old and has plenty of offer as a back-up.
It will be interesting though to see if the Giants end up keeping Morris after training camp with Devontae Booker, Saquon Barkley and Corey Clement already on the roster.
