Over the last few days, Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat have been a regular in the press. It’s not because of some spectacular victory or anything. Instead, it’s the result of a heated exchange between Jimmy Butler, head coach Erik Spoelstra, and veteran Udonis Haslem.
The incident occurred during a game between the Miami Heat and the Golden State Warriors. The Heat were unable to stop the Warriors from scoring at will throughout the game. As a result, the Warriors cruised to victory.
Jimmy Butler is expected to leave Miami as a result of his feud with coach Spo and Haslem. While there are only rumours, following the current incident, any NBA fan will readily believe them.
Despite reports that Butler would depart the Heat, after hearing what the 32-year-old had to say about the event, that does not appear to be the case.
“I think we got a little too comfortable, thinking we were going to win every night.” Everything isn’t going to be perfect. Everything isn’t going to be a complete disaster. That is something we are aware of. I simply believe that, at the end of the day, we must all be in this together, which we are. And that’s how we’ll continue to be — win or lose.”
“Things happen,” he went on to say. That’s something we’re also aware of. And then we move on, as we have. And now we have one, so let’s get back to a winning streak.”
Butler doesn’t appear concerned by the supposed beef between him and coach Spo after hearing his side of the story. After all, the Miami Heat are recognised for being one of the tightest-knit teams in the NBA.
Even if they disagree with something, it is unlikely to have a long-term impact on them all. Furthermore, with the playoffs approaching, the franchise must concentrate on its forthcoming games rather than a little inside feud.
