A Republican Just Called the Roe V. Wade Decision a “Victory for White Life” in an Opinion Piece C

Yesterday, Donald Trump held a rally in Illinois to encourage voters to participate in the state’s upcoming primary. At the event, he supported incumbent Republican Representative Mary Miller and state Senator Darren Bailey.

However, everything went bad when Mary Miller ascended the stage and made a remark that generated an immediate online reaction.

“President Trump, on behalf of all MAGA patriots in the United States, I would like to thank you for yesterday’s historic win for white life at the Supreme Court.”

What was the response to the openly racist remark?

Instantaneous ovations of encouragement from the crowd.

And a proud Donald Trump smugly glowering behind her.

Her campaign did not issue a statement until after the demonstration, with a spokesperson claiming Miller was attempting to imply it was a “win for the right to life.”

Not all individuals are persuaded.

And with justification.

The first is that the overturning of Roe is a triumph for white life when considered in conjunction with the well-known fact that Black women are more than three times more likely to die during childbirth.

Mary Miller not only read directly from her prepared speech when she spoke, but she also never paused to correct herself, nor were those who had heard the statement immediately quick to correct her.

Instead, she continued her speech while basking in the positive support of the rally attendees.

It’s almost as though, dare I say it, she would have been content to leave the statement unchanged if the video of it hadn’t gone viral so quickly.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time that Mary Miller has been criticized for a foolish remark. In 2021, during a speech for Moms for America, she quoted Adolf Hitler with ease and intent.

Hitler was correct about one thing. Whoever has the youth has the future, he added. We are propagandizing our children. Here lies the conflict.”

Then, prompted only by her own party pointing out how outrageously incompetent the remark was, she issued an apology that has become the new slogan of the Republican party: The mainstream media twisted my comments.

Neo-Nazis rioted in our nation’s capital two days following the speech.

There is no doubt that the current state of our nation is incredibly nightmare-like. And what transpired at this gathering, just one day after more than half of our autonomous people lost the ability to manage their own bodies, is a strong indication that the Republican party no longer feels compelled to pretend to conceal its ugly goal.

Every day, something becomes clearer.

At some time, it must be believed that values and ethics will return to the fabric of this society.

However, continue to be loud for the time being. Call attention to the injustices that party supporters will defend. Combat their mastery of gaslighting.

And one day, perhaps this nation will be wonderful for once.
