Pauley Perrette feels “incredible gratitude” to be able to experience life. On Friday, September 2, the former NCIS star informed her followers on Twitter that she suffered a “major stroke” the previous year.
This revelation took place on Twitter. The actress, who is 53 years old, tweeted the following to commemorate the passing of one year: “It’s 9/2 A year ago, I suffered a significant stroke.
Before that, I had to say goodbye to a great number of cherished family members and acquaintances, first my father, and then my cousin Wayne.”
“Nevertheless, despite everything that has happened to me, I can say that I am a survivor… And yet, I continue to be so thankful, and yet, I continue to be so confident, and yet, I am STILL HERE! “Pauley Perrette added.
The tweet also included a video of Pauley expressing her thankfulness despite all of the difficult hardships she had been going through.
Pauley is most known for her role as the popular forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS, where she starred for 15 years before retiring from performing in 2020.
“Hello, everyone! Oh my God, the 2nd of September has here. Today marks the anniversary of the stroke that I suffered a year ago, and I’m still here. Yes, I’ve managed to avoid passing away again; I wonder how many times I will be successful.”
“I have both food allergies and an allergy to hair dye, and the former nearly took my life. I am a survivor of both sexual assault and domestic violence.
And I was attacked by a crazy homeless person, and I almost died, and anyway, I’m still here,” Pauley recalled, before adding humbly, “I’m just honestly really grateful, and especially from my rescue puppies who are just over there.” [she indicates to the left] And I’m here, I’m still here.
I feel good. Over the past two years, I’ve been through a lot, including situations that are more challenging than having a stroke.
But I’m still here, and for that, I’m quite thankful. And I’d like to express my gratitude to those of you who are my friends. Thank you. God bless you every one. I’m still here.”
