The next Fast and Furious movie has a plethora of actors and actresses. Here comes another Oscar winner. A part for Brie Larson in Fast & Furious 10 has yet to be announced.
Best Actress went to Larson for her performance as Joy Newsome in Room. The only other Academy Award winners in the Fast & Furious cast are Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.
There are no further confirmed cast members for the upcoming film. Captain Marvel, The Glass Castle, Kong: Skull Island, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo are among Larson’s other film roles.
Via an Instagram post, Vin Diesel said that Larson will have a major role in the upcoming Fast & Furious sequel. As part of the video, Diesel congratulated Larson on joining the “family” and promised that she will be “timeless and amazing.”
In a strange twist, Larson joins the cast of the sequel as the third veteran of the comic book film genre. Jason Momoa, best known as Aquaman, is reportedly cast as the film’s antagonist.
On the other hand, Suicide Squad star Daniela Melchior has also joined the film’s cast in an unnamed role.
Sung Kang and Nathalie Emmanuel will be joining Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Jordana Brewster in the penultimate installment of the series.
There are still a few cast members who haven’t been formally confirmed as returning. Fast & Furious 10 and its sequel will be directed by Justin Lin.
However, the following film won’t be released until May 19, 2023, at the earliest.
