The Polish author Jacek Dukaj’s 2015 work The Old Axolotl served as inspiration for the apocalyptic science fiction series Into the Night. In May 2020, Netflix premiered the drama series, and by September of 2021, they had already ordered a second season. The first show was so popular that it spawned a Turkish spin-off series set on a submarine.

Into the Night Season 3 Release Date Speculation
According to the digitalfix, Netflix has not announced a premiere date for Into the Night Season 3 as of this writing. The debut of the prequel series Yakamoz S-245 in April 2022 leads us to believe that the next season of the main show will premiere in 2023.
There isn’t much we can learn by looking back at prior seasons, as both the first and second were released in the middle of the year (May and September, respectively). Covid delayed the latter’s debut, thus we can probably expect Season 3 to premiere somewhere in the first three months of 2023.

Into the Night Season 3 Plot Speculation
While Netflix has been tight-lipped about the specifics of Into the Night season 3, we know that the struggle for survival will continue. Season 2 revealed that Horst and Laura’s research paid off when they discovered a rat that could survive in the sunlight, so it’s safe to assume that this idea will feature prominently in the next chapter of the plot.

They had been releasing rats outside the bunker to test various strategies for surviving in the outside world, and it now appears that the decision to wrap the rat in a freezing tin jar is the answer to the survival of humanity.
In addition, during Season 2, the survivors in the bunker allied with several former military members they had encountered. Conflicts among the many survivors have been mitigated by the new arrangement, but for how long?
Into the Night Season 3 Cast Speculation
Again, Netflix hasn’t confirmed the exact cast for Into the Night season 3, but we have a reasonable idea based on who is still alive at the end of season 2. We anticipate the return of Pauline Etienne’s Sylvie, Mehmet Kurtulus’s Ayaz, Babetida Sadjo’s Laura, and Vincent Londez’s Horst.

We also expect to see Laurent Capelluto (Matthieu), Jan Bijvoet (Rik), and Ksawery Szlenkier (Jakub) return for season 3. It would be great to have Nabil Mallat (Osman) and Émilie Caen (Thea) return, and it would be even better if Alba Gaia Bellugi (Ines) did the same.
