The alleged pseudonymous person or persons behind the creation of the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) go by the name Satoshi Nakamoto, however Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk has suggested that the name was actually created in a “conspiracy.” What Happened: Musk noted on Twitter that the names of four businesses — Samsung Electronics, Toshiba Corp. (OTC:TOSYY), Nakamichi Corp., and Motorola — are reportedly the sources of the moniker “Satoshi Nakamoto.”
Why It Matters: Satoshi’s whereabouts and identity are still unknown.

Musk expressed his thoughts that Bitcoin’s enigmatic and elusive creator, computer scientist Nick Szabo, was behind it all during an interview on Lex Fridman’s show in December of last year. According to some hypotheses, Satoshi Nakomoto is actually more than one person using the alias. It should be mentioned that Billy Markus, the co-creator of Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE), uses the Twitter handle “Shibetoshi Nakamoto.” Musk is a strong advocate for Dogecoin. If you’re wondering if Musk’s tweet received a response from the elusive Satoshi Nakomoto, you should know that the last time this alias was used to write a message was in December 2010.
